FAQs
Your questions, answered.
We’ve designed our process to be simple, comprehensive, and focused on results. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting started:
- Find Your Centre: We have centres in several locations, each with its own schedule. Please visit our Locations page to find the most convenient centre and time for you.
- Enrol in a Course: Once you’ve chosen a location, head to our Courses page to sign up. After you enrol, we’ll send you all the details for your weekly face-to-face session.
- Attend Weekly Sessions: In these engaging sessions, our expert tutors teach key topics, building both your child’s knowledge and confidence.
- Use Your Resources: Our programme is more than just a weekly class. To support learning at home, students get 24/7 access to our Online Portal (with video lessons, extra worksheets, and assessments) and those on a monthly package receive a Physical Kit with workbooks and guides each term.
This complete and intensive approach is designed to consolidate learning and boost your child’s grades.
We offer a variety of flexible payment methods to make the process as simple as possible. You can choose from the following:
- Monthly Subscription: Set up a convenient, recurring payment for our all-inclusive monthly packages.
- Bank Transfer: Make a direct bank transfer on either a weekly or monthly basis.
- Card Payment: Pay weekly by card at any of our tuition centres.
Yes, we offer two great ways for you and your child to experience our tuition before you commit:
- Book a Free Taster Session: We invite your child to join us for a free 45-minute taster session at one of our centres. This is the best way for them to meet our tutors, see our facilities, and get a feel for our classroom environment.
- Explore Our Online Resources: You can get a free preview of our learning materials by visiting our Courses page and scrolling to the “Trial Course” section near the bottom. This gives you a sample of our video lessons, worksheets, and quizzes.
A quick note on our in-person taster sessions: The session is designed to give your child a genuine feel for our lessons and is not a formal assessment, so individual feedback isn’t provided afterwards. To help create a typical classroom dynamic for all students, we kindly ask that parents wait in our reception area during the session.
We keep our group sizes small to ensure every child gets the attention they deserve, with a strict maximum of 5 students per teacher.
To provide even more individual support, we also have additional experienced tutors “floating” between groups to offer one-to-one help whenever needed. This structure is central to our teaching method and allows every child to receive personal guidance, which is key to building confidence and boosting grades.
You can learn more about our unique approach on our Methodology page.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements and track our results closely. While our primary goal is to build confidence and a love of learning, our data shows a consistent record of academic excellence.
Here is a summary of our performance over the last five years:
- GL 12+ Exam: We have maintained a 100% pass rate for the past five years, successfully supporting all 22 of our students through the exam.
- 11+ Exam: Our pass rate shows consistent year-on-year improvement, rising from 83% in 2023 to 88% in the recent 2024 results.
- GCSE Maths & Science: Every one of our GCSE students has achieved or exceeded their target grades. Students who follow our programme typically improve by at least two full grades.
- Primary School Assessments:
- SATs (Year 2 & 6): For five consecutive years, 100% of our SATs students achieved scores of 110 or higher, placing them in the official ‘working at greater depth’ band.
- Phonics Screening (Year 1): In the 2024-25 academic year, all our Year 1 pupils scored an impressive 35 out of 40 or higher.
Beyond exam results, we are proud that our parents consistently report high satisfaction with the value, quality, and impact of our courses.
Our curriculum is expertly designed by a team of exam specialists and respected educational authors, including S. Hatton, P. Marchant, and P. Jennings.
However, our curriculum is not static. It is a dynamic resource that we meticulously update at the start of every academic year to align with the latest standards. Furthermore, our in-house team of qualified teachers conducts rigorous weekly reviews of all materials to ensure they remain effective, engaging, and of the highest quality.
Most importantly, we frequently create bespoke materials to target the specific needs of individual students, ensuring everyone receives the precise support they need to succeed.
We use a combination of regular online testing and formal mock exams to track progress, build confidence, and perfect exam technique.
- Weekly Online Testing: In addition to their main session, students complete weekly online tests via our portal. These regular assessments help us track progress continuously, identify any gaps in understanding early, and ensure your child stays on target.
- Formal Mock Exams: We hold scheduled mock exams at the end of every term. These are included in your course fees and help students familiarise themselves with a formal test environment.
- Specialist 11+ Mocks: To ensure our 11+ students are fully prepared, we also run a series of additional, dedicated mock exams throughout the Summer term.
We believe that a strong partnership between parents, students, and tutors is essential for success. We offer several ways to keep you fully informed:
- Formal Written Feedback: After key milestones, you will receive detailed written feedback via a secure link to your email, outlining your child’s strengths and areas for development.
- Informal Verbal Updates: Our teachers/tutors are always happy to provide a brief, informal update and answer quick questions at the end of a session when you collect your child.
- Scheduled Meetings: For a more in-depth conversation, you can easily schedule a meeting with your child’s tutor. These can be held over the phone, via Google Meet, or face-to-face.
- Ongoing Progress Tracking: You can also monitor your child’s learning journey through the weekly quizzes and assessments on our Online Portal, which provide an accurate, real-time measure of their understanding.
Yes. Our curriculum is designed to be comprehensive and cover the requirements of all major UK exam boards.
- Maths & Science (KS3 & GCSE): Our courses cover the core content for AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and WJEC, ensuring a strong foundation regardless of the specific board your child is studying.
- English (KS3 & GCSE): Our English courses are also structured to support students across all boards. Where there are differences, such as in set texts or specific modules, our learning materials are clearly labelled so students focus on what’s relevant to their exam.
If your child is studying with a different exam board, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss their specific needs.
